Participates in the exhibition Latin American Stories at MASP.

September 4 — January 31, 2027

Within the framework of the group exhibition Latin American Stories, curated by Amanda Carreira and Julieta González, with curatorial assistance by Teo Teotonio, the exhibition occupies all five floors of the Pietro Maria Bardi building. The exhibition explores different ways of inhabiting, imagining, and representing Latin America, addressing disputes and contradictions surrounding territory, identity, coloniality, migration, collective organization, spirituality, and forms of resistance in the region.

The World Upside Down is inspired by the Andean notion of pachakuti and by narratives that challenge official versions of history. This section examines the processes of invasion and colonization of the Americas, the exploitation of land and bodies, the invention of tropical imaginaries surrounding the continent, and the forms of resistance that emerged in response to these structures of power. Bringing together works that challenge archives, maps, colonial images, and regimes of representation, the section proposes a critical reading of Latin America as a territory shaped by historical, symbolic, and material disputes.
