Aliento begins with the creation of a device that operates as a guide to reveal “the knowledge of what is unknown that it is unknown”… Half action, half object, it requires specific geometric bursts taken from the center of some city in order to go out in search of impossible texts, the stimulation of subjectivities, digital drifting, and tile collections…
The result is a series of digital videos and large-format papers that function as a vast notebook — one impossible to carry around.
“The multivariable probe offers no resistance whatsoever. It travels through simple, complex, and complicated realities, both in objective and subjective planes. —There is a revealed result— which provides vital information to the meticulous Will in search of patterns. It describes multivariable weavings: the wind in its various forms and magnitudes, daylight with the projection of shadows, human interpretations, and everything previously described. But it also provides evident information about the body of the Operator, who is also being observed. Then that immaterial Will makes the final decision: it chooses a terrestrial body, that of the Reckless Operator. Then it migrates, and thus the cycle is completed: together, they reveal the knowledge of what is unknown that it is unknown.”
