Ernesto Ballesteros participated in a new edition of the Púrpura Proyecto Artist Residency at the El Leoncito Astronomical Complex (CASLEO) in San Juan, Argentina, as part of its 40th anniversary celebrations.

During the residency, he shared a space for gathering, production, and exchange with Leila Tschopp, Erica Bohm, Aurora Castillo, Daniela Rodi, Mariana Pérez, and Gustavo Oddone, in an exceptional setting dedicated to astronomical research and observation.

The initiative is the first in a series of residencies to be developed in collaboration with CASLEO, seeking to create new opportunities for dialogue between artists and a territory shaped by science, landscape, and the experience of the sky.

The residency is coordinated by César Núñez and Lali Martínez Spaggiari.
